Self-releasing electronic artist Louf dropped the watery title track of a new EP Skara a few weeks ago. Now, the second song 'Troposphere' follows. Beginning minimally, the track sees a bass drum hammer a swung beat, followed by bird sounds and a textural synth pad, again, creating a watery swell that washes over, like the water from a wild stream. Gradually, more electronic beats are added, along with arpeggiated synth patterns that interweave different rhythms, creating an entrancing web of sound. 'Troposphere' is a wonderfully ambient song, and great addition to the forthcoming EP Skara. -Ellie Rose-Davies.
